Interview from Jen
On a scale of 1-10 rate your overall opinion of this restaurant:
Jen: I would rate this a 7. The food is good, and the service is good. There isn't anything that blows me away, but it is an enjoyable place to get a lot of food. They serve cinnamon sugar fried bananas as an appetizer, and they have a salad bar. It isn't as extensive as the salad bar at the Rodizio in Trolley Square, but it has a good selection. Everything is served on a skewer, and servers walk around with these huge chunks of meat. They slice off pieces so you can try anything (and everything). If you're a big meat eater (which I'm not), this is the place for you. The price is pretty good for what you can get. ($25 for dinner and $15 for lunch - all you can eat meat, salad bar and appetizers.) This is probably my dad's favorite restaurant for this reason; he's a big meat eater and loves everything they serve.

What was the best thing you ate?
Jen: My very favorite thing to eat is the grilled pineapple. It is marinated in some sort of brown sugar marinade which caramelizes as it cooks on the grill. It is fantastic. They also have many different types of meats to try - everything from steaks to sausages and fish and chicken hearts. I love the bacon wrapped turkey and parmesan crusted beef. Occasionally they have a "Wild Game" selection - you can get different types of meats such as elk and snake, etc. It's been a while since I've been there for that, but it's fun to be able to say you've tried alligator. They also have a Brazilian Lemonade that I just love. I don't usually get anything other than diet coke or water to drink at restaurants, but this is the one exception for me. It has a lot of lime in it and it's really good. I'm a big fan of citrus, and this hits the mark. They also have a drink - basically a diet coke with lots of limes squeezed in. it's really good if you're a fan of coke or diet coke and lime. Oh, and their key lime pie is good (if you have room to eat it at the end). :)

What was the worst thing you ate?
Jen: I would recommend just about everything. Sometimes there are cuts of beef that are a bit tougher than others, but you get such a variety of food to try that it's not really a big deal if one of the slices isn't as tender as another.

How was the service?
Jen: The service has definitely gotten better here. The first time we went was when they had only been open for a few months. There weren't many people there, and so we had to wait a long time for the different types of meats to be served. I was disappointed, but I've since gone back and things have improved quite a bit. We were there with a huge group of people (approx. 25 people) and the server did a great job taking care of drinks, etc. Service has definitely improved over the past year or so.

Would you go back?
Jen: Yes, I'll go back. It was nice to see that things have improved, and the turnover for the food has improved as well. The service is quicker, which is nice.
