On a scale of 1-10 rate your overall opinion of this restaurant:
Jen: I would rank this restaurant an 8. The food is great, and I loved the atmosphere. We have always eaten outside (I've been a few times during the warmer months). The restaurant is located near an outdoor pavilian, and one of the times I went there was music and bands playing - it made for a very fun dining experience.
What was the best thing you ate?
Jen: I've been a couple of times. For appetizers, we've tried the Down South Nachos. They are really good - topped with black beans and pulled pork. They are also huge - really big for an appetizer. It's something that quite a few people could share, or it could be an entree. For my entree, I had the fish tacos, and they were really good. The fish was fresh and grilled, so they weren't greasy. I don't like fried fish, especially in fish tacos, so these were perfect for me. I've also had the Provo Salad, and it was delicious. It is a large salad topped with salmon, goat cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette. It was delicious and I would have it again.
What was the worst thing you ate?
Jen: Another time I went to Good Thymes I had the grilled pork chops. They were average - I was a bit disappointed with the apples that topped the chops. They didn't have much flavor. I would stick with the fish tacos, nachos or Provo Salad (all things I've tried).
How was the service?
Jen: The service has always been good. I went with a group of girls (my sisters-in-law and mother-in-law) and the server was flirting with everyone - trying to get a bigger tip, I suppose. It wasn't offensive or annoying though, and we've always had good service here.
Would you go back?
Jen: Yes, I would go back to the Good Thymes Bistro. I've been a few times and have enjoyed it each time. I love sitting outside - I'm more likely to go during nicer months rather than the winter. I'm not sure the experience would be the same eating inside. The food is good, though - so maybe I just need to give inside dining a chance! :)
